our yellow lab loves to swim.. Tahoe city is strict on leash laws... we recommend going to Lake Forest Drive.. (approx 3.5 miles away) drive through tahoe city make a right onto lake forest drive and then your first right.. drive straight down to lake... dog friendly to your right.. picnic tables etc...
there is also a dog friendly beach area off 89 .. make a right.. drive up past Sunnyside.. on your left hand side will see a beach area ..
