This is where all "California cuisine" originated, one of the best restaurants in California. Needs reservation way ahead of time. Try week day nights - might be easier to get in! Also try the Chez Panisse Cafe which serves lunch.

yes I do need to mention: it opens at 5:00pm (good idea to go there then to get a table) and closes at 1:00AM! Trendy and beautiful... but I go there for food!
