Old Inverlochy Castle is now a ruin but this was one of the most important castles in Scottish history and has been the backdrop for two major historical events, the first and second battles of Inverlochy. The grounds are beautiful and it is a wonderful spot to take in the history of the area.

Parks & Nature

Ben Nevis, is the highest mountain in Britain. Standing at 1,345 metres above sea level. Steep path throughout. The upper section is rough and very stony; it is often snow covered and losing the line of the path easily leads onto dangerous terrain - navigational skills are needed. If you have the skills to take on the mountain you will not be disappointed by the views at the top.

The spectacular waterfall known as Steall Waterfall or Steall Falls is situated in Glen Nevis near Fort William. It is Scotland's second highest waterfall with a single drop of 120 metres. The falls can be viewed from the path that runs through the Nevis Gorge. This is one of my favourite walks and takes around 1.5 - 2 hours.
