It's just a low key BBQ joint with great prices and great food! I've never had a bad meal here! The moist brisket is da bomb!

Located just a few minutes from the house, this is a Waco tradition. The onion rings are a must try. But they have everything from meatloaf to tacos. And I haven't had them miss on anything yet! By the way, the beer is cheap here!

By far the best mexican food in all of Waco! Great selection of food (stuffed fried avocado? oh yeah!), and really yummy (and inexpensive) margaritas. The friendly staff completes the experience!

Yummm, Yummm, Yummm!!! The bakery inside this store is probably the best I have EVER seen. The kolaches are phenomenal! From the savory tastes of spicy sausage and cheese, or bacon jalapeno popper, to the sweet sensation of blueberry cream cheese or chocolate cream. These are puffy pieces of goodness! A MUST TRY!

Sightseeing
So the zoo is definitely a nice visit for the family. But if you are in to hiking, the park itself has SO many options. You can choose from a stroll along the Brazos River, to steep hikes in the hills. If you are a runner, the river trail is wide, paved, and flat, plus they have mileage markers along the way.

There is a lot of interesting history here. We also did the paranormal tour at night and it was insightful, plus we captured some actual paranormal evidence that was not explainable in the basement. You also get to have a taste of a real Dr. Pepper old time soda.
