Jogging/walking routes
Jogging route: Just a kilometre away by foot, I like to jog there directly where it's not too cold and do the 4K trail wrapping around the lake. Next to the lake, alongside the store Dominion, you can see when you leave the lake how the trail connects up with the Rennie's Mill trail, which is also quite lovely.

Quidi Vidi Lake

The Signal Hill Trail is a great scenic hiking opportunity. It doesn’t take long to walk up and offers amazing views.
If you like jogging uphill, it’s a fun thing to do early in the morning when there’s not many on the trail (Be aware there’s areas on the trail where you need to be careful not to trip!)
You can start the hike from Outer Battery Road (there’s signs to guide you where to begin).

Signal Hill
230 Signal Hill RdThe Signal Hill Trail is a great scenic hiking opportunity. It doesn’t take long to walk up and offers amazing views.

Food scene
Nothing fancy for sure but one of the best fish and chips places around with a view of the harbour. Servings are big! We usually share a three piece fish and chips for lunch. It's about a 20-minute drive from the house.

We go to this sports bar/restaurant for proper chicken wings (the 'ultimate' wings are great). Monday and Tuesday are wing nights (2 lbs. of wings for the price of 1). The bar section booths have a cozier atmosphere than the main dining part.

Check out this place on Torbay Road for Taco Tuesdays (or any day really). Not expensive at all for this low key, tasty food. You'll find burritos, nachos, quesadillas and stir fries here. There's three small tables to eat-in or you can takeaway.

The staff is really friendly and the views of the water and cliffs during winter (or on the patio during Summer) are lovely. Try out many kinds of beer while listening to live bands they feature on the weekends!

Bubble Tea: No joke -- their bubble tea is really quite good and I've had tea from all over. I recommend the Taro milk bubble tea (cold) with 70% sugar and 50% ice. Super low key spot to enjoy some tea and shop a little.

Amazing neopolitan pizza! They have well-priced lunch deals too. We prefer the Elizabeth Avenue location because there’s more space. We can recommend the Stefanie Pizza (white pizza) with the goat cheese salad or the margherita pizza.

We highly recommend the cafe from Terre, which is directly accessed from the hotel’s main lobby. They have fabulous pastries!
The restaurant itself also offers a great atmosphere and food for a special night out. Book a table ahead as it’s usually packed.

Great place for a high end dining experience. They offer local ingredients with a modern twist and everything has loads of flavour. They staff are super friendly and the oysters are awesome. I would say not the best place for kids :)
