A great slice in the heart of a great part of town. If you want to have a seriously elevated version of grade school "pizza squares" , ask them if they've got any Grandma slices available (and tell 'em you like it hot!).

The Best Mediterranean food in Long Beach (and one of the best in all Southern California!). They make their own Pita Bread and its like nothing you have had before especially when you try it with the Spicy Hummus. Give yourself time as they take their time preparing your meal. So much to choose from you will have many reasons to come back.

El Barrio Cantina

If you're in the mood for a beautiful restaurant with some tasty Mexican food then this is the place! Super friendly and helpful service with great food. Highly recommend sampling the menu, but crowd favorites are potato tacos, migas, fried chicken and of course cocktails. Brunch here is also amazing. And some nights they have live music/DJs.

If you're in the mood for a beautiful restaurant with some tasty Mexican food then this is the place! Super friendly and helpful service with great food. The bread is so good! Colossus is doing good things, baking bread fresh with real ingredients...and btw they're 100% woman-owned. Don't overlook this quaint coffee shop tucked away on 2nd St. Not only do they have fresh artisanal breads & goodies, but a substantial selection of pastry in the glass case. Recommend the kouign amann a cappuccino (for dunking). Outdoor seating available. Can get busy though so if you want to just grab a loaf (try the country levain) get there early or prepare for a few minutes wait.

Outdoor seating is great on a nice day, but sometimes there are flies that get drawn to the food so be prepared to swat. Also since it's a popular spot (so maybe not so much a hidden gem anymore) reservations are recommended...and parking can be difficult.

A wonderful experience and a unique way to see the Naples canals and surrounding waterways in Belmont Shore. Gondoliers are knowledgeable about the area and oh yes they sing. Highly recommend a sunset cruise if you can make the timing work.
