Beautiful outdoors
Descanso Gardens is one of the most beautiful places in Los Angeles to visit AND it's right down the road. Less than 3 minute drive. There is a reasonable price to enter. They have food and drinks too for lunch and dinner. During October some of the best local pumpkin carving artists come together to create the most amazing works. Also, a must is the enchanted light festival during the holiday's. It's incredible.

One of the best outdoor malls in California. Beautiful. Located in Glendale, which is 10 minutes down the hills. Great food, shopping and fun during the holidays. Awesome Santa Claus/North pole situation. :)

One of the best cities in Los Angeles - ten minutes away. Incredible food, incredible old school charm - true California - clean and safe. Hollywood is sort of the opposite these days. We prefer going out to eat here than driving into Hollywood. Which has it's incredible food scene too but Pasadena is just a beautiful city. Very different than Hollywood. Many restaurant recommendations here - As well as Downtown LA/Hollywood/highlandpark/Atwater/Silverlake.

15-30 minute drive. Depending on traffic. Chinatown is here. Great food. Some of the best restaurants in the city. Bestia is one of our favorites- make a reservation asap of you can! Little Tokyo is here - Sushi Gen is one of my favorite spots. Great lunch special. Highly recommend if you like real deal sushi spots.
