About a 20 min drive from the Snuggery. Just a stunning walk in the most beautiful of places!!! Pack a picnic or pop off to gorgeous Dunkeld and its cafes, just 10 mins away from the hermitage.

The 40 minute drive to St Fillans is stunning!!!!. Please choose a sunny day to maximise the impact of this place. On a fine day the water of Loch Earn is turquoise and provides a breathtaking contrast to the towering hills and trees of the Trossachs. Pack a picnic and take your self off for a walk or drive around this beautiful stretch of water.
Roughly a half hour drive from The Snuggery and well worth the visit. The climb to the top is not for the faint hearted, but you can take your time and enjoy each floor of the climb.

Roughly two hours drive from the Snuggery, through the most amazing countryside will take you to Fort William. The steam train departs from Fort William to Mallaig on a two hour, 84 mile round trip that takes you past a list of impressive extremes incl uding the 21-arched Glenfinnan viaduct (a location made famous in the Harry Potter films).
I cannot recommend this enough. its breathtaking!!
For an added experience, book first class and afternoon tea. just perfect!!

West Coast Railways Jacobite Steam Train
Roughly two hours drive from the Snuggery, through the most amazing countryside will take you to Fort William. The steam train departs from Fort William to Mallaig on a two hour, 84 mile round trip that takes you past a list of impressive extremes incl uding the 21-arched Glenfinnan viaduct (a location made famous in the Harry Potter films).

The best way to explore the surroundings is by car.
Having your own car allows you to explore the stunning countryside. However, if you prefer to travel by train then Perth city centre offers several places to rent a car.
The nearest place to rent to the Snuggery is from Struans. This is only 5 mins drive from us.
We suggest you get a taxi from the train station to Struans (opposite Tesco) this should take about 10 mins.
