Sightseeing
Point Lobos State Natural Reserve is outstanding for sightseeing, photography, painting, nature study, picnicking, SCUBA diving, and jogging. In addition to the spectacular beauty, nearly every aspect of its resources is of scientific interest. There are rare plant communities, endangered archeological sites, unique geological formations, and incredibly rich flora and fauna of both land and sea. Deriving its name from the offshore rocks at Punta de los Lobos Marinos, Point of the Sea Wolves, where the sound of the sea lions carries inland, the Reserve has often been called "the crown jewel of the State Park System". Point Lobos has offered many things to millions of people who have visited it over the years.

For a truly magical day among whales porpoises sea lions and other sea creatures, reserve a trip on the boat. It’s a three or four hour time commitment, but if you do have the time very worth the effort.

Food scene
I absolutely love this place. Honestly, I have never been disappointed. Their Cioppino is the best I've had. This place is a must for me when in the area. I especially love the lady at the fountain drink station. She is always so welcoming. If you need suggestions on what to order, ask for the staff's favorites.
If you buy fresh seafood from there, they will clean and cut the fish. They also crack and prepare crab so it's easy to eat. Frozen lobster tails are more convenient than buying lobster fresh and cooking at home.
You have to try at least once if you are in the area.
***A little tip: if it is nice weather, take a beach chair, order your food and sit on the beach while you eat. Can't go wrong.
