Corvallis means 'Heart of the Valley', lying, as it does, between the coast range and the Cascade Mountain range. You are just an hour away from the Pacific Ocean, and an hour and a half to two hours from beautiful trails, swim holes and more in the Cascades. Our summers are mostly dry and not humid. The rest of the year is damp and fairly mild. Corvallis is a university town, with great trails and wildlife refuges nearby. It has a pedestrian friendly down town area with a lot of independent locally owned businesses, a vibrant farmer's market and many neighborhood parks.

Chip Ross Park with views over the city is only a mile north. Lewisberg Saddle is a short drive away.. leading to miles of trails in the MacDonald Dunn Forest. Bald Hill Park is a few miles west. Offers both flat and hilly trails. Mary's Peak (highest point in the coast range) is less than an hour's drive away, with stunning views
