Our favorite beach
This is one of the prettiest and closest beach in the house. If you want to go to an organised beach, it is quite descent. It becomes however ten times better, if you park your car at the start of the first dirt road on your left (it is a very very narrow path, between two fences) and go on foot to the existing beach.

Zaga is a long, long beach, part of which is organised and part of which is not. Sandy beach and shadow under the sea trees.

Definitely visit the castle and the monastery, preferably in the evening. The energy is amazing. The car goes all the way inside the castle.

super markets
There is a very old and traditional mini market at the square of the village. It doesn't have new age stuff, just the basics. But it's cute. It is where all the old people are sitting watching the cars pass, just before the church.

We have two big super markets near (one in Charakopio towards Koroni and one in New Koroni towards Kalamata). Both are in the same distance and you will find a variety of stuff. There is also super big supermakets a few kms after the airport (lidl, ab vasilopoulos), which have gluten free, vegan etc products.
