Cartegena is a wonderful place to visit and only 15 minutes drive from the apartment
The port of Cartagena, in the Mediterranean's Costa Cálida, has been prized since Carthaginian times. Thanks to its strategic position on the Murcia coast, it has been inhabited by several cultures which have left their mark on its artistic heritage. A tour of the place and its museums will draw us into the history of a city closely tied to the sea. Its historic center has been declared of Cultural Interest.

A 5-10 minutes drive from the apartment
Cabo de Palos is in La Manga del Mar Menor, just 30 kilometres from the town of Cartagena. It is a peninsula, 400 metres wide, dotted with quiet coves and lapped by the crystal-clear sea. The main attraction here, however, is in the sea itself. 2.5 miles away from the coast is Hormiga Island. The sea bed has been designated Integral Marine Reserve for its exceptional beauty and good state of conservation, considered one of the best scuba diving sites in Spain. Here you will find reefs and corral deep underwater, as well as the remains of shipwrecks and sunken boats: a real adventure for scuba fans.

Cabo de Palos is in La Manga del Mar Menor, just 30 kilometres from the town of Cartagena. It is a peninsula, 400 metres wide, dotted with quiet coves and lapped by the crystal-clear sea. Calblanque Beach
It is 300 meters long and approximately 40 meters wide, Calblanque beach offers an exclusive and relaxing atmosphere, for those who prefer to remain away from the typical crowds and the hustle and bustle.
It is situated in an ideal location, being immersed in the Protected Natural Park of Calblanque.
This really is an authentic Paradise on the Mediterranean coast in the province of Murcia; it is not accessible to vehicles in all seasons. But in the summer months it is easily reachable by public transport. Therefore, if you decide on this option in the summer months, you will have no problem by bus.
Although still regarded as a quiet beach, with the growth, by word of mouth, brought about by forums and social media, this Cartagena beach is becoming a favourite for swimmers and sunbathers wishing to enjoy long sessions in the sun. Not only is it a perfect place to enjoy excellent temperatures but also its magnificent coast.
In addition, in recent years special measures have been taken so as not to exceed a maximum capacity.

I always have to visit this restaurant when I stay. Love that it is on a working livery so I pop in and see the horses before I eat. Monica is a wonderful hostess and the restaurant is lovely in the winter and the summer

If you play tennis or want to visit the gym to do a class then the Racquets Club is the place to go with residents rates available to you. Just a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment.
