Manuel Antonio National Park

Manuel Antonio National Park is named for a Conquistador who is buried there and was established in 1972 and expanded in 1980. With 1,685 acres (682 hectares or 2.6 square miles), it is the smallest of Costa Rica's national parks (about twice the size of Central Park in New York City), but also the most visited, and its biodiversity is unequaled with 109 species of mammals and 144 species of birds. The park's elevations are from sea level to about 160 feet (50 meters). It receives approximately 151 inches (3,900 mm) of precipitation a year. January and February are the driest months; August through October are the rainiest. High temperatures average 81 °F (27 °C) to 86 °F (30 °C) year-round. Its habitats consist of tropical lowland wet forest (rain forest), marine, and beach.
Manuel Antonio Costa Rica is one of Costa Rica's most visited destinations with its abundant rainforests teeming with wildlife and fauna, world-class white sand beaches, fine dining and casual eating options, bars with live music and dancing, and a vast arrange of adventure activities, fishing and boating excursions, holistic yoga, massage, and spa retreats, and much more.
