Maroon Pig feature's owners Stacey and Richard's home baking - made on sight in their own kitchen and brought out warm to the shop. Our favs include the Mac Brownie, Cinnamon Buns with icing and the Raspberry Squares. Trust us…..it’s all good and get there early - they often sell out!

Copper Bottom's deck provides an amazing view of the marina and harbour of the Montague River. Lots of great beverages to choose from and live local music throughout the summer. We love starting the weekend here on Friday afternoons :)

Bogside is one of two great local breweries in Montague (see also Copper Bottom Brewing) and we love them both. Bogside has a large selection of ciders, and beers you can enjoy on site with food from Crafters Smokehouse (smoked eats and barbequed treats) or Famous Peppers Pizza gourmet pizza with the freshest l locally sourced ingredients. Seating is at picnic tables both indoors and out. Bogside is a fun, family friendly place to enjoy local live music as well on Fridays and Saturdays,

Near and dear to our hearts are memories of a day spent at Kings Castle near Murray River. Lots of shade, playground equipment, picnic tables, a red sand beach and ice cream from the canteen make for a perfect family friendly adventure.

Georgetown, just a four minute drive from Driftwood Cottage, may be small in size but the friendliness of the people and the character of the town is enormous.
Georgetown offers visitors a unique opportunity to view the first harbour to be built on the eastern seaboard. Home to one of the deepest harbours in North America, Georgetown was once a major ship-building centre and home to A.A. MacDonald, one of the Fathers of Confederation.
