Kailua Beach Park is a quick five minute drive and is one of the most popular beaches in the entire state of Hawaii. Parking can be challenging if you get there later in the day, I recommend getting there early. Bathrooms are available at the park and it’s a great place to picnic and take in the views.

If you want the best tasting banana macadamia nut pancakes in the state, but no further than Boots N Kimos. Boots N Kimos is in enchanted Lakes which is only a 15 minute drive away. There are often long line so I recommend that you get there early and last time I was in it was a cash only restaurant no credit cards accepted. They do have an ATM on site. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the banana macadamia nut pancakes are a must try.
