Chez Celine is a French restaurant located 2 blocks from the condo at 34th Street and 5th Avenue. They open at 8:00 am and close at 9:00. My absolute favorite thing is their Creme Brulee. Best I have ever eaten. They serve a full french-style breakfast. They have sandwiches made from the bread they make. They have wonderful fresh fruit. I love their herb spiced goat cheese with their toasted baguettes for an appetizer. My husband loves their french toast. They serve a small salad with many of their offerings. It has oil, nut and spices dressing on it which is delicious. The best part is that it is very reasonable. My husband and I are not big eatters so sometimes we split an order. As you can see, they are very accommodating. Just love going there.

They have a special where you get a glass of juice, bread and dipping sauce, soup or salad, an entree and a very small desert for $159 pesos. We either have enough left for dinner or we split our meal. You have an entire list of choices. You will love it.

Traditional Mexican dining. In a tourist area. However, they get alot of locals. They are a little more expensive. But still not breaking the bank. Love the atmosphere. Everything that I have eaten there has been good.

Food is very much like Chez Celine but not quite the quality or selection. However, it is on a walk toward Walmart so we have eaten there several times and it has always been good. Alot of young people eat there.

They supply many restaurants in Playa with fresh produce. Lots of items you cannot find anywhere else. Love shopping there. They also have meats and cheeses and fresh eggs. Love the eggs. Have not eaten anything at the restaurant that I didn't like.

This is a wonderful place to go to spend the day or 1/2 day at the beach. You get 2 loungers and an umbrella for around 800 pesos. However, you use the 800 pesos as a credit toward food. We were able to each have a drink, a snack and a meal spread through the day. We always select our lounger off the sand onto a wooden platform and it is more expensive depending on the lounger you choose.

The ADO bus station on 20th Street about 5 blocks from the condo will take you to Holbox, and almost anywhere you want to go on your own. Holbox is a bit of a trip. You might want to spend the night if you go there. Also, check out the ADO on 5th Avenue. The 5th Avenue location is where you are taken when you arrive from the Cancun Airport.

If you have time and you are adventuresome you don't want to miss Tulum. In the Yukatan we get people from all over the world. However, Tulum attracts many celebrities and young people looking for a place to really get away.

The Casa de Montejo, a 16th-century mansion, is a landmark of colonial plateresque architecture.
There is so much to see in Merida that you will want to stay at least several days and take tours.
