In Soi Nana (not the one in Sukhumvit but the one in Chinatown) there are loads of very nice bars/restaurants close to each other so it's well worth a trip down there. It's easy to reach by MRT. Just go to Hua Lamphong Station and it's a 5 minute walk from there. My favourite bars down there are:
