It is the original farm shed that has been fully renovated, which basically means the whole thing was pulled apart and put back together! The end result is a rustic and inviting space to have a yarn over a cocktail, gin or whisky with friends.
During warmer days the gardens and decks provide a relaxing environment and during the colder months a spot beside the fire is most enticing.
Gins are on offer for consumption and sale, with limited amount of our 2nd Whisky Release “Sister Sunday” available for tastings purchase. We also have a wider selection of whiskies also available for tasting. For those who wish to have an alternative to Gin or Whisky ( why? ) we do have a few of the local wines , beers and ciders available plus some soft options for the drivers.

Some of its most famous residents are also its most delicious, with Australian Blue Mussels grown just offshore and harvested daily by the fleet moored in the harbour. They’re celebrated every year at the Portarlington Mussel Festival on the second Saturday in January, while Queen’s Birthday weekend welcomes the National Celtic Festival for four days celebrating spirit and culture with music, dancing and good craic.

Its sandstone blocks were carved from nearby seacliffs. Listed by the National Trust, the mill houses displays and a collection of historic memorabilia. It’s just 300 metres from the beach but easily missed unless you’re looking for it. Trust me: it’s well worth seeking out just to clap your eyes on its old-world elegance.
