If you want to taste real Roman cuisine in a typical Osteria you can’t miss Dino e Toni restaurant. Located on Via Leone IV 60, just two minutes walk from my apartment it offers a huge variety of Roman dishes and the famous Jew Artichoke a delicious fried delicacy!!

The Trionfale market is just in front of my apartment and is considered the first Roman neighborhood market. Among the largest in Italy, and even in Europe, it boasts 273 stalls.
Inaugurated at the end of the 19th century, on Viale Giulio Cesare, for years it was a place of transit for hunters and those going out of town. On their way back, they stopped there to make their animals rest.
At the time, all around Rome was the countryside. In the '30s, the market moved to via Andrea Doria, a previously extremely popular neighborhood which, over the years, had turned into an elegant area.
These two souls coexist in a very convenient market, but also a very sought-after one, thanks to its stalls proving fresh fruits and refined goods (source Rome Municipality site)

Fantastic opportunities not to be missed
Nowadays, Trastevere maintains its character thanks to its narrow cobbled streets lined by ancient houses. At night, natives and tourists alike flock to its many pubs and restaurants, but much of the original character of Trastevere remains.
The neighborhood has also attracted artists, foreign expats, and many famous people (source Wikipedia). If during the evening you want to walk through picturesque narrow streets and have a fantastic pizza you can go there and eat at “l’Archetto II” (a huge variety of pasta dishes) on Via Agostino Bertani 6, or at “Ivo a Trastevere” (typical roman pizza) on Via di S. Francesco a Ripa 158.

Thinking about a place that could be interesting for your children I recommend the Biopark in Rome. You can reach it by bus in half an hour from my apartment. As Biopark is located in Villa Borghese (one of the best park in central Rome) it could be an occasion for spending the whole day there (if the weather is good) starting with Biopark, visiting Galleria Borghese museum, and having a good time among trees walking in the park.

1 Viale del Giardino ZoologicoThinking about a place that could be interesting for your children I recommend the Biopark in Rome. You can reach it by bus in half an hour from my apartment. As Biopark is located in Villa Borghese (one of the best park in central Rome) it could be an occasion for spending the whole day there (if the weather is good) starting with Biopark, visiting Galleria Borghese museum, and having a good time among trees walking in the park.
The first amusement park in Italy, and one of the first 5 in Europe, it was realized by the Ente Autonomo Esposizione Universale di Roma for the 1953 Agricultural Exhibition and became a permanent fixture during the Games of the XVII Olympiad in 1960.
Always part of the collective imagination of the Romans, the park has continuously represented the meeting and entertainment place of entire generations for over 50 years. In 2008, it was closed for modernization and restoration work.
Located in Via delle Tre Fontane, on an area of over 60,000 square meters in the EUR district, the theme park reopened in 2016 in a completely renovated look, with the new name of Luneur Park. It is a garden of wonders for children and families, surrounded by greenery and rich in hundreds of species of plants and trees, with paths, experiences and educational workshops dedicated to the values of eco-sustainability, biodiversity and environmental awareness and a total of 21 attractions.
The most nostalgic can feel the thrill with six completely renovated historical attractions. Among them are the Brucomela, the Jumbo, the romantic carousel with horses, and one of the city symbols, the Ferris Wheel with its colourful 28 gondolas.
The park is a perfect place for all seasons: the Splash Zone, an expanse of water of over 2100 square meters, and the wide spaces for sun and relaxation in Summer; parties and themed events - such as Halloween, Carnival, foam parties, light or waders, clowns, jugglers and contortionists shows throughout the year; charming Christmas villages. Furthermore, there are numerous food points for all tastes: from the traditional hamburger to the tasty fried food; from the savoury hotdog to the crispy pizza; from the classic pasta dish and the fresh salad to the delicious desserts and ice creams.
