Neighbourhoods

Hip and trendy neighbour with cute cafes, variety of restaurants (including bring your own wine)and great for clubbing. The area is very picturesque from murals/ frescoes mostly on The Main (St Laurent Boulevard) to pretty staircases around Carré St-Louis. Not to miss - the Mile End area to experience a really lively part of town.

Old Montreal, as it’s name suggests, is the oldest part of Montreal and one of the oldest cities in Canada. Stroll along the charming cobblestone streets filled with art galleries, boutiques and diverse eateries while marvelling at some great architectural structures. Make sure to see the Notre-Dame Basilica, walk around Place Jacques-Cartier, Saint Paul Street or perhaps enjoy a river cruise or ride the Ferris Wheel. Kids will love the Science Museum and Voile en Voile (an amusement park with rope courses, rock climbing…)

You are staying in this neighborhood which is known for its diversity and multiculturalism. By far, the most popular attraction here is Saint Joseph’s Oratory. It is Canada’s largest church and has one of the largest domes in the world. It is the highest structure in Montreal, can be seen from many kilometres away and has a wonderful view! It is worth the 233 steps climb up or you can always catch a shuttle bus up. There are also some great international restaurants here as well as a farmer’s market with fresh fruit and vegetables in the summertime.
