This is a cozy candle-lit wine bar down the street from the apartment. It has charcuterie and cheese plates, along with excellent wine! I highly recommend. Also, it's only a 3 minute walk away!

For a real Charleston experience, you may want to go to Bertha's for lunch. Nothing fancy, just home cooked meat+3 type of place. Fried chicken is always on their menu. probably not for vegetarian's;

This is a VERY hidden restaurant. situated on a tidal creek in the back of a charming neighborhood. They specialize in fried or grilled fish and shrimp! and hushpuppies, yum.
