Lake Toccoa offers a great walking trail and gazebo around and over Lake Toccoa. Pick up 9 holes of golf and stop off at Ping's for a meal while you're there (see my dining section).

This is a well traveled trail about 15-20 minutes away. You can spend as much time as you'd like on the trail - hiking to and from Panther Creek Falls is about a 6 - 7 mile trek but there are lots of small shoals and beautiful mountain stream crossings if you aren't up for such a long hike.

You can spend as much time as you'd like on the trail - hiking to and from Panther Creek Falls is about a 6 - 7 mile trek but there are lots of small shoals and beautiful mountain stream crossings if you aren't up for such a long hike.
Toccoa's claim to fame - Toccoa Falls is a must-see for any visit to Toccoa. Through the gift shop on the campus of Toccoa Falls, you'll find a very short, flat walking path to the Falls- this path is less than a quarter of a mile and is accessible. The sound of the water is tremendous and the boulders at the base of the falls make a great spot to sit and be still for a moment.

If you want a customized slice of Toccoa, don't miss a visit to the Studio to see Ms. Deborah Hartley - one of Toccoa's most famous art influencers and a fantastic art teacher as well. She'll be delighted to help pair your tastes with some local art to add to your collection. The Studio is located inside one of the oldest buildings in Toccoa - a former grocery. It's vintage charm is part of its allure!
