Coffee shop with lots of seating & good wifi connection. Try the kombucha in the fridge. My favorite food is the chicken curry salad on a croissant. The bathroom is in a co-working space called Headquarter and requires a key fob to get inside the co-working space. This is a good WFH location.
The counter top/checkout is a very big music box.

Located across the street from a high school. A lot of high school students are here during an afternoon break. 5 min walk from the apartment.

The 2nd Ward/Coffee Plant Green MetroRail station on Harrisburg Blvd, a 10-min walk from the apartment, is the fastest way to get to Downtown & EaDo. Don't deal with the stress of finding car parking when you go via public train or buses.

MFAH, Health Museum, Children's Museum, Holocaust Museum, Health Museum, Natural Science Museum are free on Thursdays. The Kinder building on MFAH campus glows in the dark and has a vast collection of modern and contemporary art.
Houston Zoo has free admissions on 1st Tuesday of each month.
Via public transport, take the west-bound Green MetroRail at Coffee Plan/2nd ward station at Harrisburg Bld into Downtown Houston, transfer to Red Metrorail at Downtown, and take Red MetroRail south-bound to Museum District stop.

6 miles of Downtown Houston tunnels
Enter the Houston tunnels at the Wells Fargo Plaza and the McKinney garage on Main Street. Another entrance is the Allen Center. Lots of restaurants and shops are here and the tunnels connect to many office buildings in Downtown. Whilst most of Downtown Houston on the street level looks empty during the weekdays, the underground tunnels are alive with activity and commuters who don't want to walk in the 90F+ humid weather on the street level.
