A walk to the top of the "Gaer" hill. Once the site of an ancient hillfort, the views from the top of this hill are amazing. From the church walk along the road past Weale's Wheels and towards the bus stop. Before you reach the bus stop, turn right along a muddy track and take the immediate left up another track. You will now be going uphill and passed the backs of some houses. You will arrive at a long steel farmgate. Pass through this and continue up the track. Dogs must be on leads as there are lots of sheep roaming here. Continue up the track for 25 minutes and you will be rewarded with the most incredible views.

The Lost ARC is a Community Interest Company which operates from an amazing building in Rhayader. It is a music venue and arts centre, still under development but hosting regular music events. The premises is fully licenced. The cafe opened in April 2019 serving: delicious breakfasts quality teas, coffees and cakes light lunches locally produced ice-cream and Friday night pizza nights with pizzas from the wood-fired oven! There will always be vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available as well as a choice for little people and treats for the dog!
