Neighborhoods
Mission Beach is built on a sandbar spanning nearly two miles of ocean and bay front. The main artery through Mission Beach is Mission Boulevard and along that route you'll find eateries, shops, bars and nightlife. Belmont Park (in the middle of Mission Beach) divides the community into two parts: South Mission, a peninsula, and North Mission. A boardwalk runs along the beaches on both the ocean and bay sides of the community. The bay side tends to be more quiet and family oriented whereas the ocean side is a little more lively and busy. Surf on the ocean side and paddle board on the bay side all in one day! Mission Beach is very walkable and offers something for all ages. A true vacation destination.
