This place is charming. It's Louisianan Vegan! I know sounds unusual but the food ( and drinks) are creative and delicious. Sweet little place with a courtyard out back for dining

The Stanford inn is a vegetarian restaurant but it has one of the best and quiet bars. If you want to just visit our hang out on the deck overlooking the hillside This is our favorite choice for drinks

One of the most beautiful buildings on the north coast. This Inn was renovated about 5 years ago and they spared no detail. If you like craftsman style and fine dining this is the place. It has a back terraced deck for drinks or dining that overlooks the fishing harbor and the Noyo river.

If you like craftsman style and fine dining this is the place. It has a back terraced deck for drinks or dining that overlooks the fishing harbor and the Noyo river.

We love everything about this place. It's about a 20-minute drive north from our home. While it may seem far to go wine tasting you won't be disappointed especially if the day is clear. The tasting room sits on a bluff just 30 feet from the raging ocean waves. We always pack a picnic and bring it up there they have tables outside. Sally and Marcus are gracious hosts

Mendocino is a picturesque seaside village best known for its romantic Victorians that have been lovingly restored into charming Mendocino Bed and Breakfast Inns, centrally located within a short stroll to great Mendocino restaurants, unique shops and galleries, live theater and scenic beaches and bluffs are everywhere around this peninsula. The entire town is on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the Headlands Historic District. Mendocino Presbyterian Church on Main Street is one of the oldest continuously used Protestant churches in California and is designated as California Historical Landmark. In addition, the Temple of Kwan Tai on Albion Street, California Historical Landmark may be as old as 1854 and is one of the oldest Chinese houses of worship in California.
Since 1987, Mendocino has been the site of the Mendocino Music Festival, a classically based but musically diverse series of concerts that are held annually in a huge circus-type performance tent on the town's Main Street in the Mendocino Headlands State Park.

Never turn your back on the ocean.
Don't drive in the dark if you are not familiar with the area. We are only 4 hours away from San Francisco but as you enter the County the roads are narrow and very windy. If you decide to travel along Route 1 your travel time will be much longer. Also, the redwoods and the ocean are beautiful so plan your drive time during the daylight hours

Bring a sweater
We are a coastal community. Often when the temperature is raging inland that will mean coastal fog. So always bring some clothing to keep you warm, even at the height of summer. Also there is a large amount of hiking trails so walking shoes are essential
