Håverud is a beautiful place just half an hour drive from Sunnanå Marina. A must for every Dalsland visitor.
Famous for the unique and amazing Aqueduct, which is a huge tourist attraction.
The aqueduct was an ingenious solution to a major problem. It seemed impossible to build the canal and the locks here, due to the soft rock and the deep canyon/valley where the river rushed. The person responsible for the project, Nils Ericson, advocated an aqueduct would be built over the most difficult part and the top of the canal would be put on a shelf on the rocks. This was done, and later also a railway and road bridge.
In Håverud you’ll find a tourist office, a glass blower, restaurant and smokery, canal boats, café, canoe rentals and more.

For beginners or players who wants to improve their game, it’s possible to book golf classes.
