Food scene
There are lots of good restaurants and shops downtown an easy 3 block walk. Some of our favorites.
One of our favorites. Bar area is nice for an informal lunch or dinner. Dinning room is a little more formal with a wonderful ambiance with the surroundings of the original grist mill. Great food! Best know for their freshly baked ciabatta bread. Couple of my favorites.....corn chowder and shrimp and grits.

A local favorite. Beautiful ambiance! With good wether the outside seating in the back of the restaurant makes for the perfect setting. Happy hour makes for a nice start to the evening with appetizers and drinks.

A little off the beaten track but an absolute local favorite. You won't go wrong with anything on the menu. The specials are always a highlight. They don't take reservations but you can call in advance which will give you priority when you arrive.

City/town information
Established in 1758, Leesburg is the seat of government for Loudoun County. The town's rich history spans three centuries.
We feel fortunate to be residence of Leesburg. Being just a few blocks walk to the charm of our downtown is a bonus. Our history is rich with folks like President George Washington, Patrick Henry, General George C Marshall, President Truman to name a few who lived or were frequent visitors to our Town. Today what is so special about Leesburg is how vibrant our downtown is with shops and restaurants. On Friday, Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoon the downtown streets are closed of to traffic creating a festive atmosphere.
The western part Loudoun County has always had an agriculture focus. Forty years ago, it was corn and dairy cows. Today despite the growth of the Washington Metropolitan area and Loudoun County there has been a concerted effort to keep the rural character of the western part of the county. For the most part the cows are gone as are most of the corn fields. They’ve been replaced with grape wines and our 50+ wineries. Most of which are a short 10-15 drive from our house.
If you’re looking for shopping the Leesburg Premium Outlets is 2 miles from the house. Downtown has many shops including specialty products, clothing, art galleries, and furniture to name a few.

- Make sure you have everything. Phone charger, hanging items, etc.
- Sheets can be left on the bed
- Used towels: please leave on floor or put in laundry basket behind bathroom door
- If you have a lot of dirty dishes please start the dishwasher. If you only have a few please leave in the sink and we'll take care of them.
- Leave key on kitchen counter
