Without mistake this is our favorite! But make a reservation early. They take reservations 30 days in advance. The bar is also reserved only seating since this restaurant is so popular. A short drive back to the Sanderling Resort area with great appetizers, food, and sound views!

Without a doubt the best steamed seafood in the Corolla area. There crab crakes also are very good. Small restaurant so plan ahead to make sure you have a seat!

Our best all around go to restaurant. Great local, fresh fish plates and seafood but they do many entrees including great steaks. It's hard to find a restaurant that does variety well but they do. They also have the best selection of craft beer, liquors and wines of any restaurant on the island. Great views with outdoor seating, a bar, fire pits and seating below the restaurant while wailing for your table! I love watching the sunset here while having a glass of my favorite beverage!

It's hard to find a restaurant that does variety well but they do. They also have the best selection of craft beer, liquors and wines of any restaurant on the island. Great views with outdoor seating, a bar, fire pits and seating below the restaurant while wailing for your table! I love watching the sunset here while having a glass of my favorite beverage!
Ok, strongly tied for 1st place with our favorite restaurant in this list. Steamers is in Southern Shores which is a little bit of a drive but we love to stop here on our way to or from Corolla or if we travel south towards Nags Head, Manteo or Rodanthe to explore. Excellent changing menu with wonderful steamed seafood and fresh local catch. Always a great craft beer and wine selection. The last time we were here our comment was to each other "Steamers never fails to satisfy". Great staff and good views from upper balcony.

Visit incoming or outgoing as this is in Kitty Hawk but if you want some of the best lamb chops, seafood and weekly changing specials + great espresso martini's it's on the must do list!

Beach Access Check In/Out Days
The Southern Beach Access is a great day stop on check in day while waiting for that 4 pm check in. To get to this access you will have to endure the Route 12 traffic. Parking is limited at this access but Bonita St. access to the North has more parking.

Bonita St. Beach Access is off of Route 12 north of the Timbuktu shopping center and only 2 miles or so from Southern C Salt. More parking availability than the Southern Beach Access but there is no restroom or outdoor shower.

You will pass H2OBX Water Park on your way in on check in/out day. Spend the day here, eat dinner at one of the many restaurants in the Southern OBX area and get your groceries for the week afterward on the way to the house.

4X4 Beach requiring daily, weekly or yearly pass from Currituck County. Obtain your pass from the Corolla Visitors Center near the Southern Beach Access. Wild horses often venture out onto the beach in and amongst the visitors. They are wild, bite and by law no feeding and stay 50 ft away from horses at all times.
