A great place to take the kids to see Marine Life up close & personal. The dolphin and sea lion shows are sure to entertain. It's right on the water so prepare to dress for the weather.

In the summer don't forget sunscreen, sunglasses & hats!
The nice breeze from the water & clouds in the sky may put your mind at ease, but the sun's UV's bouncing off white sand will find any skin you didn't cover. Don't forget to re-apply sunscreen every hour so you can enjoy your vacation in comfort, not covered in aloe!

Bring walking shoes or good walking sandals!
To access the beach you will use boardwalks to get over the dunes...the length of some can be deceiving. Trust me, the view on the other end is worth it. There are also great walking/bike paths along Scenic 98.

Stay south of Highway 98 especially during peak season.
Highway 98 traffic can be frustrating. Plan to leave early, avoid rush hour times & utilize roads south of Highway 98 as much as possible. We personally like to bike or walk, but understand that it is not for everyone.

Fishing Charter Companies are plentiful with most bringing in 5 Star Ratings...and a LOT of Fish.
Fishing for a good time? Try the boat taxi that leaves from Destin Harbor to Crab Island.
