Town Information
Peace of Eden retreat is located in Kill Devil Hills, famous for being the birthplace of powered flight when the Orville & Wilbur Wright of Dayton, OH flew their Wright Flyer December 17, 1903. Kill Devil Hills continues south from Kitty Hawk along NC12 and NC158 with restaurants & bars, attractions, and other shops, grocery stores. And of course, the ocean side with its excellent, sandy beaches and fishing piers!

Nags Head the town that borders Kill Devil Hills to the south. It continues along NC12 and NC158 with restaurants & bars, attractions, outlet mall, and other shops, markets & stores. The Outer Banks Hospital is located at mile 14. Janette's Pier is located at the southern end of Nags Head on NC12. NC12 continues south toward Hatteras, and NC64 continues to Roanoke Island, including Manteo and Wanchese.

Nags Head the town that borders Kill Devil Hills to the south. It continues along NC12 and NC158 with restaurants & bars, attractions, outlet mall, and other shops, markets & stores. Roanoke Island is the home of Fort Raleigh National Historic Site, the site of the first English settlement, the Elizabethan Gardens, and during the summer months, the Lost Colony Outdoor Drama (play) performed in the outdoor theater. Roanoke Island is also has an airport where tourists can book airplane and bi-plane rides to see OBX from the air. Next to the airport is an excellent Aquarium - perfect any day, but especially on very hot or very rainy days. Very close to the airport and aquarium is the historic Etheridge Farm.
