Opening on the corner of Magnolia and Donahue in 1976, Momma Goldberg's has since grown to have many more locations, with one right next door on West Longleaf Drive as a convenient/close to home option. The steamed sandwiches and "Momma's Nachos" (Dorito's smothered in pepper jack cheese and steamed to melty deliciousness (trust me)) can't be beat. This is a very close (right down the road on Longleaf) lunch or late night option for when you don't want to venture downtown.

Bombay has been a consistent favorite ever since I first moved to Auburn almost a decade ago. Although the building and atmosphere is modest, the food is always very high quality and scrumptious. A true local staple. My favorite dishes are the medium-spiced chicken tikka masala, vegetables fritters dipped in the tamarind sauce that accompanies this appetizer, vegetable samosas, and plenty of naan! Try the sweet naan with dinner, also, you won't regret it!

Among the many boutiques in Downtown Auburn catering to the Greek life, Auburn Hardware is a welcomed feeling of home and, surprisingly, the best place to find gifts and local souvenirs. In fact, the woven purse I receive the most compliments on is from here! A local gem.

Football, Fans and Feathers (Fridays before home games)

Auburn University’s Southeastern Raptor Center will host its annual fall educational series—Football, Fans and Feathers—again this season on Fridays before home football games.
Seven shows will give guests an opportunity to experience an up-close view of birds of prey while exploring the mysteries of their survival, flight and ecological roles. Shows will be held Sept. 3, 10 and 24; Oct. 8 and 29; and Nov. 12 and 26. Each show begins at 4 p.m.
Tickets are $8 per person, ages 3 and under free

Tiger Walk
The Tiger Walk at Auburn University is one of the most imitated traditions in all of college sports.
Each gameday, the Tigers walk from the Athletics Complex down Donahue Drive to Jordan-Hare Stadium. But the team doesn't make the walk alone; instead, they are cheered on by the thousands of Auburn fans who line the street and, in the process, create one of the great scenes in college football.
The walk begins two hours before each game.

Parking Downtown
There are more than 1,300 public parking spaces available throughout downtown Auburn - A two-hour parking limit is enforced downtown from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Metered parking is free after 6 p.m. and on weekends. Parking is $1 per hour. Meters accept coins, cash, and cards.

Tiger Transit - Game Day
During Auburn University home football games, Tiger Transit runs special game day routes that are available to all game day fans and are free of charge.
Regardless of the scheduled start time of the game, buses begin picking up fans at 4 hours prior to kick off, offer limited service throughout the game and continue returning fans to stops for 2 hours after the conclusion of the game.
Tiger Transit routes which operate Monday-Friday DO NOT operate on game days. See link below for pick-up points and further details.
