To get to the castle with the sauciest history of all castles in Scotland, follow there directions:
Turn right out of the hostel ~ take the 1st street on the right. Walk over the wee bridge ~ Follow the road to the fishery pier. look for the castle mural on the ground to the right. Follow this path to the ancient seat of the clan Mackinnon.
*** BE AWARE OF THE TIDES!! ***
Crossing the beach is the best way to the castle but is covered in water during hight tide - Don't get stuck out there or you'll be walking back through the bog!!
