A boat tour is a great way to explore Resurrection Bay! You might see humpback whales, orcas, sea lions, sea otters, porpoise, seals, and glaciers. Both Kenai Fjords and Major Marine offer full and half day tour options!

A 5.4 mile round trip hike/walk from the cottage. Beautiful trail leads to an amazing beach and forest. Slightly hilly. Great hike for kids older than 7.

Anyone looking for a challenging local hike in Seward, this one is worth a try! One of the longest running trail races in the US. It started on July 4th, 1915 when one person bet they could hike the mountain in less than an hour. It took him 1 hour and 2 mins and he lost the bet. Now the top runners are running up and down the mountain in less than 45 minutes! There’s also a Jeep trail just North of the race trail on First Avenue, that is much less dangerous to hike.
