Neighbourhoods

Two things come to mind when visiting this small lovely town. Parlee Beach and Restaurants! Shediac is certainly a foodie destination for tourists. Seafood lovers; almost every location offers this on their menu (and obviously lobster!). If you want to try something fun and different, le Moque Tortue Bistro is about 2 mins walk from here. Their menu and decor is Alice in Wonderland themed and they have the most extensive board game in Atlantic Canada.

Parlee beach parking fees

The daily parking fee to go to Parlee Beach is around 13$, although parking is free after 5pm. If you are up for it, there is nice trails to get there so its free to access. Its around a 40 min walk in the trails (pack sneakers!) -12 mins by bike from here. That's what we usually do if we want to get there early and not pay parking.

Waste sorting system

Shediac has a 3 bag waste sorting system (colored bag system). We left a guide in the loft to help you know what goes in what, but its pretty basic: Green- organics. Blue-recyclables. Clear-everything else!

Restaurants

During the busy tourist summer months, booking a reservation in advance to restaurants that offers the option, assures you a place! Recommend.
