Wind around the initial wooded trails in south of pipeline and north of the neighborhood section for a nice, forest stroll (heading east includes several mtb jumps)
Keep left / head north to access Pipeline Trail: Pipeline acts as a (open) connector all the way to Ft. Valley and the west side of town. Your base of the mountain (mountainous) fitness path!
Cross Pipeline Trail / keep north (towards Mt. Elden) to access nature trails nestled along the base. The first fork will provide you the option of going:
Left / West to: Elden Spring, Elden Gravesite, and Elden Homestead Site.
Continue further to "Forces of Nature", "Lower Oldham", "AZ Trail", "Elden Lookout Road" and beyond.
Right / East to: Fatman's Loop
Continue on to the KOA trail access point, Sandy Seep Trailhead, and the AZ Trail around Mt. Elden.

Lockett Meadow is a beautiful drive and hike to the inner basin of the San Francisco Peaks from the East through an iconic Aspen grove. If you've seen photos of stunning fall Aspens in Arizona, chances are, they were taken here. Beautiful year round.
