Outings
One of the best places in Senegal for a real safari experience, head to Bandia to see African wildlife; zebras, giraffes, kudu, impala, crocodiles, rhinos.. etc. They have a special reptile zoo also. If you'd like to skip the safari and just enjoy a meal, the restaurant is hopping with monkeys and crocodiles swim in the waters just below. There is a great playground for kids.

Accrobaobab is about twenty minutes from Popenguine and is great if you are in the mood for an adventure. Obstacle courses and zip lines between the enormous baobabs are offered for adults and kids. There is also an Aquabaobab area that kids love, full of obstacle courses and games in water. There is a restaurant serving crepes and hamburgers and ice cream on site. Great for a family outing!

This is a wonderful place to spend a day surfing, kite surfing, walks in the nature reserve, eating oysters and other shellfish, or just relaxing at one of the restaurants on the Guerreo side of the Lagoon. You can also walk there from the house when the tide is low. It takes about an hour at a good pace.

This is a wonderful place to spend a day surfing, kite surfing, walks in the nature reserve, eating oysters and other shellfish, or just relaxing at one of the restaurants on the Guerreo side of the Lagoon. You can also walk there from the house when the tide is low. It takes about an hour at a good pace.

We have two wonderful yoga teachers in Popenguine village. Fawzia teaches Yin and Hatha and is happy to do private classes at the house. Nathalie offers classes in Ashtanga on her beautiful ocean front balcony just a few doors down from the house. Both offer classes in French or English. Your choice.
