Coffee and Breakfast
This is our favorite local coffee shop! Great coffee and environment, and I am particularly a fan of the sugar free chai by local company 5 Sparrows (it's sweetened with Stevia, but tastes like good ol' sugar!).

Locally owned Bigfork eatery; great for breakfast and coffee! We haven't had anything we don't like, but we especially love the toasted homemade peasant bread with cream cheese, and their pancakes are probably the best in the valley!

Our favorite Mexican restaurant in town-- the atmosphere is fun, the margaritas are plentiful, and we've never had anything we didn't like! We recommend the mole enchiladas and chile rellenos.

Although it's hard to choose, this is probably our favorite food truck in town. It's almost always located at the food truck square next to Sunrift Brewery. There are picnic tables and several other food trucks to check out as well!
I recommend the al pastor tacos.
They also now have a brick and mortar location on Idaho St.

The best ice cream you'll find anywhere! They have “normal” flavors like Lafaza Madagascar Vanilla and Chocolate Love, but they also offer adventurous flavors using local ingredients like pine needles or maple bacon! My personal favorite combo ( I order it almost every time) is half a scoop of Huckleberry or Mountain Mint (flavored with mint extract that comes from a local farm!) and half a scoop of Cupcake in a homemade waffle cone! There is a Sweet Peaks in Whitefish as well.

The Historical Great Northern Rails to Trails bike path is a great place to go for your morning run or walk, or you can even ride your bike all the way out to Kila if you're looking for a several hour long adventure! A new addition has been added to this trail, so it now cuts through Kalispell and this portion is well lit for walks after dark.

Lawrence Park is right in town, but doesn’t feel like it! With a huge expanse of grassy space, large playgrounds, a climbing boulder, a frisbee golf course, nature trail, and Stillwater River access, there’s something for everyone here!

A new continuation of the Rails to Trails that cuts right through town. You can access this trail from the Rails to Trails trailhead on Meridian Rd. or just by heading north on Main Street— through downtown— to Depot Park. The trail will take you all the way to Woodland Park!
