This unique and generally quiet parklands is a highlight as it is on the harbours edge and offers some pretty walking trails, an old heritage house, quaint and local fish and chip shop and cafe and some stunning sun set harbour views.

In our opinion, this is the most beautiful beach walk in Sydney that is still close to the CBD. Check out Bronte, Coogee or Clovelly beaches to take you slightly of the tourist track!

They also hold outdoor cinemas in summer (slightly closer than Centennial Park) and have a neat indoor rock climbing space for those rainy days. There is a gorgeous cafe on the park grounds that specialise in Australiana food!

If you are heading to Darling Habour we recommend going on a Saturday evening on your way into or out from town to catch the 9pm Fireworks. There are some lovely restaurants here (e.g. Zaafran for Indian, Chinta Ria for Malaysian) but beware of tourist traps.

Catching a ferry to manly is an iconic Sydney attraction. Get great views whilst travelling across the habour to the north shore. Once there stop of at 4 pines brewery, Manly Wine Bar or head down for a surf lesson/scuba dive on Shelly Beach!
