Punta sur is a national park, located in the southmost point of the island. Make sure to climb to the top of the lighthouse for an amazing view and take the boat trip to see the crocodiles in the Colombia Laguna. When you are hungry grab something to eat at Anemona de Mar (one of the restaurants inside the park). The park closes at 4 pm and most restaurants at 3:30ish so make sure to arrive early.

Renting a vehicle
Most restaurants downton are easily reachable by walking. However to get to the best beaches you either have to rent a vehicle or get a cab.
For your own safety don't rent a scooter if you do not know how to drive one. I would recommend you to rent a Jeep. (45 - 65 USD / day)
When driving most streets paralel to the pier are avenues, which means you don't have to stop, perpendicular streets to the pier require you to stop.

Getting to El Cielo
The only way to get to el Cielo is by boat. Wether you decide to book a tour with other groups, or charter your own private boat here are a few recommendations:
- Tours are usually from 4-6 hours long
- El cielo is about 1 hr to 2hr away from town since its almost south tip of the island.
- Make sure to bring along food, drinks, and ice, if the tour you chartered does not include it.
- Bring along biodegradable sunscreen.
