Sightseeing

The Dome and the Baptistery located in the city center and with its high cupola it’s difficult to miss! The Dome is made by Brunelleschi in 1436. The walk up to the Dome takes you though a labyrinth of corridors and spiral staircase allowing you to examine its construction. Its worth climbing all the 500 stairs just to get near to the beautiful ceiling painting and the fantastic view. The Baptistery in front is one of the oldest and most revered buildings in the city. It was built in the 6th or 7th century (no one is sure). The building is famous for its three sets of gilded bronze door made by Andrea Pisano and Lorenzo Ghiberti.
