Historic Atlantic Harbor and White Point Living Shoreline Project:
Stroll or ride the bicycles to the end of Seashore Drive (which is also the terminus of US Hwy 70) and see the historic round stern shrimp trawlers in the Atlantic Harbor. Then circle back to get to the other side of the harbor and see the brand new Living Shoreline on White Point. Great photos and information here:

The ferry is currently running as of May 1, 2022. Located right here in Atlantic, this ferry will take you (and your vehicle if you have one suitable for beach driving) to Portsmouth Island. This is the northern section of Cape Lookout National Seashore, from Drum Inlet to Ocracoke Inlet. Great day trip adventure to swim in the ocean, walk on the beach, fish and picnic. Grab food from White Point Take out before you go (except Sunday...White Point Take Out is closed Sundays). The marina is under new ownership with many changes in progress .

Call or text him, pre-order and then just walk over and pick up your treats! He bakes donuts every Saturday morning, plus other things daily and by custom order. For the donuts, he asks that everyone contact him Friday to pre-order. It's fine to order just 1 or 2 of anything he makes. He also makes cookies, pies, cakes, blueberry cream cheese kolaches, German chocolate pie, cinnamon rolls, yeast rolls, burger buns, and lots of other things.
