Get wild and introduce yourself in the magic nature of Mexico
Sian Kaan reserve, this a little bit more of an adventure for all ages, just depends how far you want to go. Just 42 km from the arch (the Natural Reserve’s entrance) to the end. At the end of the road you will find a lighthouse which has an amazing view of the Biosphere, the town is called Punta Allen, I have done it lots of times in one day, however it takes all day especially because after km 30 the roads gets too bumpy. Around 2.5 kms from the arch there’s a beach with tours called el Uiltimo Maya, stop for a snack, go to km 9 there is a fisherman´s lodge, walk on the side to the lagoon in the gardens. Also at km 12 there is a bridge where you can see how the lagoon connect to the ocean, sometimes you get to see some big crocs, great for pictures. If you keep going it gets better and better, stop frequently to explore the different beaches on the road. If you make it all the way to Punta Allen, check out the restaurant in front of the police station, they serve local sustainable lobster.

Muyil Lagoons and channels, pyramids or ruins. Drive 15 km aprox. southbound on 307 highway. There’s an awesome tour in boat on the lagoons and the water channels. Take some drinks and snacks with you.

Neighborhood cenotes, 2 kms southbound on 307 highway you will find two cenotes for one ticket. Escondido and Cristalino. Very good for a swim.

You can go and come in the same day, but wake up early. Excellent food, lots of things to see.
