Centered around The Springs General Store this neighborhood is a calm in the storm of The Hamptons. The store itself is charming and serves great local coffee.
The breakfast bagels and sandwiches are a local hotspot. Pele, the world's greatest soccer player lives here along with Matthew McConaughy as did Lou Reed, Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner. The Pollock Musem is worth a visit, not the tour just being able to see the paint he splatted on the floor.

Best Seafood in The Hamptons
Mike's Seafood Store in Amagansett is a must if you like fresh fish or great shellfish. They will also give you tips on cooking it. Well worth it.
