At the crossroads of Pennsylvania Routes 233, 641 and 533, rural Newville in Cumberland Valley is actually a very old town, with beautifully preserved historic homes, farms, churches and a landmark 1760 year old mill.
This town is quite scenic, located on the Big Spring and close to the Conodoguinet Creek. There's a real old-time feeling of hospitality in this largely residential community, right on down to the Dogwood Acres Campground, where even Fido is welcome!
Also, notable about this area are residents whose courageous actions in combat are depicted in the book and movie Black Hawk Down.
