There are barbecue tables and 3 pools of varying temperature. These are emptied cleaned and Re-filled daily. Fun for all the family.

This is such a beautiful beach. Its good for walks, fishing, tuatua gathering at low tide, boating and swimming. Do be careful to watch for rips if swimming. I love body surfing here.

This is a really cool self drive trip over unused rail lines. You will get to see conservation work that this helps fun, and drive yourself though countryside while listening to a commentary. Highly recommended. There is a lunch or drink break which is fun. You'll see why

There is always something watch, the port activities, windsurfers, surfers, small and large boats, swimmers, walkers, families, hang gliders. The boutique shopping is awesome and there are restaurants, cafes and bars for Africa.

This is a small mainly Maori settlement on the estuary of the Kaituna River which drains the Rotorua Lakes. It is where one of the early Maori canoes arrived.- the Arawa tribe began here. The famous Maketu Pies are made here - do try them. Newdicks Beach is accessed from the top of Town point and you may be asked for aa donation to use the private road but it is a lovely beach.

There is a great Saturday market .
There is lots to do in Tauranga City, walks on the Strand or Waikaraeo Estuary, shopping, movies, Kulim Park to watch the windsurfers, and orchards aplenty in the general area - Kiwifruit and avocados in particular. For the energetic there is TECT park for adventuresome. Classic Flyers museum is at the Mount by the Tauranga airport. Gate Pa and the Redoubt, plus The Elms and The Mission House are historically significant.

Comfort and Safety.
Being coastal the weather can be quite changeable here, so its best to bring layers . In summer it can also be very hot, so make sure to pack a hat, sunnies and sunscreen.
