Walk walk walk or Scoot?
Walking is a great way to experience Auckland, reducing your personal carbon emissions and giving you a more wholesome time overall. Auckland's CBD is relatively small compared with say European cities and with the exception of Mount Eden, you'll rarely walk longer than 30 minutes to get to any destination/event.
If you are looking for a little more spring, you could try one of the various self-drive scooters parked around the city. Simply create an account with your chosen Scooter, use the scanner on the handlebars and away you go. Please do be careful however, Scooters aren't the safest.
