Sightseeing

Glossa, the second largest village on Skopelos, is a treasure. A traditional Greek village with spectacular views and an emerging art, dining, and cafe scene. The central square towards the top of the village has several nice restaurants and a nice vibe. One restaurant of special note is Agnanti whose owner grows many of the herbs and vegetables at his nearby country retreat.

Palouki is the vast region across the bay directly South of Skopelos Town. It is a holy area, dotted with a number of monestaries open to the public. There are also a number of beautiful kalderimi (donkey trails) that hug the cliffs to small churches and wonderful underground springs. Definitely worth a full day to visit and hike.
