Stratford's local natural area with groomed trails and running creek. I walk here with my dog, jog and ride my mountain bike. Though it is short for cycling, it provides a fun terrain that is nearby. Our century old cemetery is adjacent and has it's own network of quite lanes, old growth trees and charm. We visit the Dolan on a nearly daily basis.

T.J. Dolan Natural Area

Ignore the photos of trailers here. This is a 26km loop around the North Thames River. There is also a good beach for swimming and picnic and boat dock at the shoreline. The mountain biking here is very good, mostly cross country with some very challenging short ascents. Riding near farmer's fields, deer and other wildlife are often sited.

The mountain biking here is very good, mostly cross country with some very challenging short ascents. Riding near farmer's fields, deer and other wildlife are often sited.
This is about a 40" drive to some dreamy cross country trails. Local pubs nearby for a beer after if you choose.

Sightseeing
The core of Stratford, we are lucky to have this river 3 blocks from my home. The most touristy, it boasts walking, boat rentals including canoes, kayaks and paddle boats and water fowl such as swans, ducks and geese. It can be a most pleasant walk home from downtown in the cool of the evening.
