This is the really cute downtown area of McKinney. There are many eateries, shops, antique stores, wineries. It's just a cute place to walk around and enjoy the day. The old court house at the center of the square has been converted into The McKinney Performing Arts Center (MPAC) and has a gallery with local artist's works in the down stairs area while hosting plays and other event in the upstairs stage area. Just off the main square is Chestnut Square Historic Village with walking tours of old homes and in the summer a farmer's market on Saturday mornings.
